Special Events

Here is some information about Special Events at the shop.  Please contact us if you have any requests for future events!

Annual Events in Worthington

We have a lot of great festvals and events year-round in Indiana.  Here in Worthington, we're happy to say that we have some very special events you can only find right here.  Watch for our annual Old Fashion Day event in May.  We always have the finest antiques, collectables, and curios - large and small, and all at special old fashioned prices.  In September, come to Worthington for the Town-Wide Yard Sale.  This event has been going strong for years, and you never know what you'll find!

Remember, you don't need a special occasion to come see us though.  You are welcome anytime!

The Family Gibson

Although this may not qualify as an actual "event", we're pretty excited about it.  After 30+ years of silence, the Family Gibson has once again found it's voice.  This project took roughly 4 months to complete, but most of that time was spent just staring at it.

The careful viewer will note that every effort has been made to preserve it's distinctive character.

And so, without further ado, here are the before and after pictures of our Family Gibson, a 1964 J-45.

In addition to the patches in the top, there were 11 serious cracks repaired, 2 top braces replaced, and several other braces, top and back, re-glued.  It sounds absolutely wonderful, by the way.

Please note that this instrument is not now, nor will it ever be, for sale.  However, we may be able to help out your family heirlooms.  Inquire at the shop.

Heather D. Brown

Author of Big Crowd at the Crazy House

Heather D. Brown

It was such a pleasure to host a book signing for Heather.  She is a very talented young author, and a wonderful person, as well.  We are pleased to have copies of her new book, Big Crowd at the Crazy House available in the shop.  The book can also be purchased at her website, www.BigCrowdAtTheCrazyHouse.com.

We'll be sure to let everyone know when we get word of another book signing, maybe we can even persuade her to come back to out shop for another visit soon!

We highly recommend this book.  It is a very powerful, true-life story that will bring you closer to understanding the obstacles that face those who struggle with bipolar disorder.  A very good read!
